TTRNA President – Idi Stuart, had the pleasure of meeting nurses of the Sangre Grande Hospital and Enhanced Health Centre on Monday 1st April 2019, at the Sangre Grande Hospital. Chaired by the Chairman of the Eastern Branch - Christopher Toussaint, the meeting was able to treat with a range of professional and industrial relations issues.
Among these included:
- Ambulance transport
- Overtime and pool payments
- Nursing Now public meetings
- Upcoming Professional Development workshops programs
- Grievance process
TTRNA will like to reiterate to all nursing personnel, do not settle for ‘pool rates’ when you should be paid ‘overtime rates’ when working beyond your shift.
As promised, the document TTRNA has obtained relating to the issue of coverage on the Ambulance, will be distributed at the next branch meeting.
TTRNA will continue its education of its members throughout the country, as it is our responsibility as the largest body in Trinidad and Tobago that represents nursing personnel. TTRNA congratulates all nursing personnel who came out to these important and informative sessions, as you continue to display a genuine interest in the development of your profession.
TTRNA expects to see a large turnout at our next professional development workshop conducted by Prof. Seemungal on Friday 26th April 2019 @ the conference room, SGH.
