TTRNA was pleased to be invited to the Launch of Trinidad and Tobago Association of Midwives (TTAM) 25th Anniversary Celebrations as well as their Launch of the World Health Organisation’s designation of 2020 as the International Year of the (Nurse and) Midwife.
This is extremely significant, as TTAM’s brother organization TTRNA, also turns 90 on July 4th, with our celebratory anniversary function carded to take place on Sunday June 7th 2020.
The event, held at TTAM’s impressive headquarters at the Cor. De Gannes and La Croix Streets Couva, was truly a special and memorable event as it affords the midwifery association to update its membership to its many achievements and its commendable plans for the of the Nurse and Midwife.
TTRNA encourages all midwives, even if already part of TTRNA, to join this growing and well established Association that seeks to improve the professional development and image of all midwives in Trinidad and Tobago.
TTRNA once again must recognise the founders and stalwarts of both organizations (TTAM and TTRNA), for going beyond mere talk and have put in the dedicated years of service to establish these Associations. Both Associations have contributed immensely over the years to significant improvements in the health sector and to the lives of nurses and midwives, which for far too often have gone unrecognised.
Check out TTAMs Facebook page for more updates on their upcoming activities.
